Date: Saturday, January 22, 2011
Time: 9:30a - 11:30a
A child sized real sock! Knit from the cuff down, this sock will introduce new sock knitters to basic sock construction. Special techniques include heel flap, gusset decreases, and toe shaping.
150 - 275 yards fingering weight yarn, US #2 double point needles, stitch marker, tapestry needle.
: small, medium, large (toddler-child's 5)
This workshop is suitable for Intermediate Knitters. Intermediate Knitters are Current Knitters who know the basics: long-tail cast-on, knit, purl, and bind off. Experience working with double-pointed needles is a plus! This is an ambitious workshop & will require a lot of knitting at home. We will review the whole pattern & all techniques, with particular attention to turning the heel.
The pattern & yarn for this project are available for purchase at LYS. You may bring your own needles and tools for this project, but please plan to purchase yarn & pattern at LYS. Thanks!
Remember, class size is limited, please call (717) 768.8007 to reserve your place in the workshop right away!
