Welcome to Lancaster Yarn Shop's Class & Workshop Blog!

Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Remember making funny little crafts at Camp?  This funky little bowl is sweet, simple &, well, funky! Learn some truly impressive Knitting Moves in this last day of Summer Yarn Camp!  Students must print and bring their own pattern:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/felted-pod


Skill Level:  Intermediate
Skills Required:  Cast on, knit, increase and decrease!
Techniques Taught:  Basic knitting techniques expanded upon.
Materials: Lamb's Pride Felted Bowl Kit available for Summer Yarn Camp.  US# 10 or 11 DPN needles.
