Summer Yarn Camp: Monday, August 15, 2011

Announcing our First Day of Summer Yarn Camp! Join us on Monday, August 15th for an Absolute Beginning Knitting Workshop

Project:  Garter Stitch Scarf
Date:  Monday, August 15
Time:  9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

A friendly introduction to the absolute basics of knitting. Learn everything you need to make a simple, beautiful scarf.  This scarf is made using only the knit stitch!

Skill Level: Absolute Beginner.
Skills Required: None!
Techniques Taught: Material selection, long-tail cast on, the knit stitch & how to bind off.
Materials:  Worsted weight wool yarn, US #8 needles.

This workshop is suitable for Absolute Beginner Knitters. Absolute Beginners are Future Knitters who have not yet put ‘yarn’ to ‘needle,’ have neither ‘knit’ nor ‘purled,’ and don’t know the difference between ‘casting on’ and ‘casting off.’   Also, perhaps, Former Knitters who may have forgotten it all (you know who you are!).  We’ll help you choose your materials and tools, and teach you to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off.

Pre-registration is required!  Please call the shop to save your spot! (717) 768-8007.
