Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Announcing our next Free Knitting Workshop! Join us on Tuesday, September 13th for an introduction to Moebius Knitting! 

Project:  One Skein Moebius Cowl
Date:  Tuesday, September 13
Time:  9:30 am - 11:30 am

A friendly introduction to moebius knitting!   Learn everything you need to make a simple, beautiful cowl.  This scarf is made using Cat Bordhi's extraordinary moebius cast-on, the knit & the purl stitch!  

Skill Level: Intermediate*
Skills Required: Basic knitting skills required.
Techniques Taught: Material selection,moebius cast on, moebius knitting technique.
Materials:  One skein Snuggle, 36"US #11 circular needles. Pattern provided.

*Intermediate Knitters are Current Knitters who know the basics:  long-tail cast-on, knit, purl, and bind off.
