Welcome to Lancaster Yarn Shop's Class & Workshop Blog!

Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Join us on Tuesday, February 14th for a HeartFelt Rings Knitting Workshop
Project: Heartfelt Rings
Date:  Tuesday, February 14, 2012
Time:  9:30am - 11:30am
These sweet little heart rings are knit in the round and felted.  We'll use double pointed needles to work these up.   


Materials:  worsted weight wool yarn, 5" US #7,8 or 9 dpns, stitch marker,  & tapestry needle

This workshop is suitable for Intermediate Knitters.  Intermediate Knitters are Current Knitters who know the basics: how to cast-on, knit, purl, and bind off.
