Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Project:  Knitting Pure & Simple Basic Shell
Date:  Tuesday, April 9, 2013
Time:  9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Skill Level: Intermediate.
Skills Required: You must have a basic understanding of most aspects of knitting. This cotton shell is knit from the bottom up.  We will cast on and get started while discussing and demonstrating construction and techniques for shaping and finishing the top.  Most of the knitting will be done on your own after the workshop.

Materials:  Approximately 750-1,020 yards 2nd Time Cotton or Simplicity dk,  24" US 6 & 4 circular needles.  All tools, materials and pattern available for purchase at LYS.
