Welcome to Lancaster Yarn Shop's Class & Workshop Blog!

Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Jared Flood's Turn A Square hat is a wonderful hat pattern!  This hat looks great on anyone.  We'll get you started on your hat & demonstrate the ingenious techniques of the jogless join & raglan decreases for the top.

Materials:   We have everything you need to make this great hat.  You will need two colors worsted weight wool, US #6 & 7 16" circular needles & one set US#7 DPNs  (or needles as needed to knit at gauge), stitch markers, pattern*. If you already have needles, you may bring them.
