Welcome to Lancaster Yarn Shop's Class & Workshop Blog!

Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Tuesday, December 13, 2011: Bulky Cowl Workshop



Announcing our next Free Knitting Workshop! Join us on Tuesday, December 13th for a Last Minute QUICK Cowl Workshop!  Learn everything you need to make a simple, beautiful cowl.  This cowl is made in the round using only the knit stitch and one skein of yarn!  Please download and print a copy of the pattern and bring it along.

Skill Level:  Beginner/Intermediate.
Skills Required: Basic knitting.
Techniques Taught: Material selection, long-tail cast on, the knit stitch & how to bind off.
Materials:  One skein Snuggle, US #11 or US#13 24" circular needles.
