Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Announcing another Free Knitting Workshop! Join us on Tuesday, January 31st for a Free Cabled Hat Knitting Workshop.  We'll cast on and learn the basics of cabling while knitting in the round in this two hour workshop.  Most of the knitting will be done on your own after the workshop.

Time:  9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate.
Skills Required: You must have a basic understanding of most aspects of knitting and be able to knit in the round on a circular needle. 
Techniques Taught:  Cabling, knitting in the round.
Materials:  160-220 yards DK weight yarn,  one set US#6 16" circular needles and one set US #6 DPNs.    Please download and bring your own copy of the pattern from frizzyknits' blog.
