Welcome to Lancaster Yarn Shop's Class & Workshop Blog!

Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Tuesday, April 16: Lace Basics Free Knitting Workshop

Learn how to knit a basic lace pattern. This is a simple introduction to the fundamentals of lace knitting.  Learn new stitches and techniques.(Most of the knitting will be done on your own after the workshop.)

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced.
Skills Required: You must have a basic understanding of most aspects of knitting. 
Techniques Taught:  Basic chart reading, directional increasing & decreasing.
Materials:  1 skein Kilino Linen/Cotton or Second Time Cotton,  one set US#6 needles.
Pattern is available for FREE. Please print and bring in your own copy.
