Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Written for a variety of weights, we'll knit this summery bag using two skeins of Second Time Cotton.  Learn everything you need to make this fun, funky bag.  Students must print and bring their own pattern:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/grrlfriend-market-bag.

Skill Level:  Intermediate
Skills Required: Basic knitting skills required.  Must know how to cast on, knit & purl!
Techniques Taught:  Circular knitting, shaping, Kitchener/grafting, Emily Ocker’s Beginning.
Materials:  We have everything you need to make this great bag!  2 skeins Second Time Cotton, US#6 DPNs,16" US#8, 24" US#11, Crochet Hook I. You may bring tools if you already have them.
(Your gauge may require modifications to needle size)
