Project: Baktus Scarf
Date: Saturday, November 6
Time: 9:00 - 11:00a
The Baktus scarf is a lightweight scarf typically knit with sock yarn. Knit by more than 5,000 Ravelers, this popular pattern is simple & beautiful. The principle is to knit a triangle using your exact amount of yarn. We'll cast on & discuss alternative methods of increasing for shaping this garter stitch project. This is a simple pattern, suitable for beginners & intermediate knitters.
Materials: US #2 or US#3 24” circular needle, & approximately 400 yards/100 grams sock yarn. Students will need to print the pattern before the class.* You may bring your own needles & tools for this project, but please plan to purchase yarn for this project at LYS. Thanks!
*Strikkelise has given us permission to use her pattern, but students must download their own copy. Thanks, Strikkelise!
Thanks also to tryphina for the photo!
