Welcome to Lancaster Yarn Shop's Class & Workshop Blog!

Lancaster Yarn Shop offers a variety of classes and FREE workshops for fiber artists of all skill levels, from Absolute Beginner to Extremely Accomplished. The emphasis is on celebrating the tradition of knitting and handwork (and learning cool new stuff!) in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes and Free Workshops are held at the Yarn Shop in our beautiful upstairs studio at 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse, Lancaster County, PA. (HERE for directions). There is plenty of free parking, and we are just steps from the terrific restaurants and great shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village. Classes are taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors and classified by skill level.

Announcing our first Free Crochet Workshop with Amanda from Crabapple Yarns! Join us on Saturday, June 4th for an Absolute Beginning Crochet Workshop!  
Project: Double Crochet Scarf
Date: June 4th
Time: 9:30am - 11:30am
Learn everything you need to know to complete a wonderful crocheted scarf...perfect for the spring weather. This class is for true beginners. You will learn to make a foundation chain, single crochet, double crochet and slip stitch. 

Skill Level: Beginner
Skills Required: None, Zero
Techniques Taught: Foundation chain, single crochet, double crochet and finishing
Materials: Fingering weight yarn, 5mm hook (H)
